MEMBERS SERVICES: INSURANCE SCHEME

Through its membership of the Central Council of Physical Recreation (CCPR), NAFAC is able to offer excellent and highly competitive Civil Liability insurance cover under a special scheme underwritten for members of governing bodies affiliated to the CCPR. The scheme is managed for the CCPR by the Sports Division of a major UK Insurance Brokers who are members of and are regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Associate member organisations affiliated to NAFAC are eligible for cover within the scheme subject to receipt by the insurers of a satisfactory proposal form. The insurers do however reserve the right to decline acceptance into the scheme if considered appropriate.

Conditions

We have, however, been advised by our insurance broker that insurance arranged for an organisation on the basis of its membership of NAFAC and at the special premium rates our members enjoy is available to non-affiliated organisations but at a considerably increased premium and this would therefore would be applicable if such an insured organisation ceases to be a member of NAFAC.

Make sure you remain covered!

NAFAC cannot emphasise too strongly the need for all angling clubs to be fully insured at all times, particularly for Civil Liability cover and renewal premiums should be paid promptly and before the renewal date.

Clearly if an insured club is affiliated to NAFAC and premiums and renewal declarations are submitted to the brokers promptly there is no cause for concern.

Further advice

The CCPR scheme offers very competitive rates and a range of cover few other insurers can match. NAFAC believes that angling clubs and associations should consider very carefully in deciding how their Insurance requirements can best be met.  The appointed insurance brokers for the CCPR and many governing bodies of sport and recreation have unrivalled experience of the insurance needs of voluntary sporting organisations and can arrange a wide range of special insurance covers to suit particular requirements.
